Q) Why do you think awards like WLIE, which highlight women’s achievements, are so important?

A) These Awards are so important because they help to showcase high-achieving women throughout the industry who then inherently act as role models; encouraging women to join the electronics sector and to continue to develop their skills. Networking is one of those key skills and the Awards ceremony itself is lively and very useful from that point-of-view.

Q) What talent are you on the lookout this year?

I’m always particularly impressed when women find ways to support and advise other women as they shape their careers, and there were plenty of inspiring examples of this amongst the finalists and winners at the event last year.
