Woman of the Year

The recipient of this honour is recognised for her outstanding achievements, which may include a specific project, strong initiative a general body of work, or her exceptional performance in a particular leadership role within the sector. She exemplifies skill, judgment, leadership, and integrity, is guided by a strong sense of purpose and values, with a clear commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). Her achievements serve as an inspiration to future leaders in the field.

Business woman of the Year

The recipient is honoured for her outstanding achievements, which may include a significant contribution to a specific project, a general body of work, or her exceptional performance in a leadership role within the sector. She exemplifies skill, judgment, leadership, and integrity, guided by a strong sense of purpose and values, with a clear commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). Her achievements serve as an inspiration to future leaders in the field.
Electronics Rising Star
Awarded to the woman emerging as a promising talent in the electronics industry, with less than five years’ experience, and who has shown potential for future leadership.
STEM Pioneer Rising Star
This award recognises a person who is emerging as a promising STEM talent. With less than five years of experience, the winner will have demonstrated exceptional potential for future leadership through their innovative contributions, dedication, and commitment to advancing the field of electronics. They are on course to make a significant impact and inspire her peers and future generations of STEM students and graduates.
Unsung Hero
One of two awards that celebrate the impactful contributions made by women in non-technical roles within the electronics industry (see also Unsung Hero in a Leadership Role). This award recognises the importance of role models at all levels of an electronics business and is open to women in non-technical roles who are guided by their values and sense of purpose.
Unsung Hero in a Leadership Role
One of two awards that acknowledge the invaluable contributions made by women in non-technical roles within the electronics industry (see also Unsung Hero). This category is dedicated to senior UK women in leadership positions who are making an exceptional impact on a business and/or the industry as a whole. She is guided by a clear sense of purpose and values, driving positive change in the electronics sector.
Electronics Entrepreneur of the Year
Recognising UK-based women who have excelled as entrepreneurs in the electronics sector, highlighting creative and technical ability, with business acumen. The category’s focus is on innovative startups and successful business ventures.
Electronics Design Leader of the Year
This award honours an exceptional person in a leadership position within the electronics industry. The winner will be recognised for their outstanding ability in electronics design while maintaining a company’s or group’s standards of ethics and integrity. They lead with a strong sense of purpose and with sound values, demonstrating a clear commitment to design excellence, advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I). Their exemplary leadership serves as an inspiration to future leaders in the electronics industry.
Mentor of the Year
Awarded to male or female, non-binary who has excelled in mentoring and supporting women in their electronics careers, facilitating professional growth and development.
Returner of the Year
Open to women who have successfully returned to work after maternity leave or a career break. This award recognises the challenges associated with returning to work. In doing so, it is hoped that best practices can be gathered and collated for future returners.
Innovator of the Year
Open to women who are playing a leading role in modernising the electronics industry, either within an electronics company or as a supplier.
The winner will have clearly pioneered new approaches in the electronics sector, demonstrating exceptional design and/or technical skills. This may be attributed to a specific project, campaign, case, or role. She will demonstrate exceptional skill, judgment, leadership, and integrity, guided by her purpose and values, including a strong commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I).
Electronics Engineer of the Year

Recognising the achievements of women engineers in the electronics field, with an emphasis on technical excellence, innovation, and contributions to the industry.
Safety and Compliance Leader
Recognising those who have excelled in ensuring safety and compliance within the electronics industry, upholding industry standards and best practices.
Technical Excellence Award
This award honours an individual working within the electronics industry who has demonstrated exceptional technical expertise and innovation. The recipient is recognised for their outstanding technical contributions that have significantly advanced a field within electronics. They exemplify a high level of electronics design skill, creativity, and problem-solving ability, and their work will play a significant role in advancing technology and the industry.
Management/Small Team Leader of the Year
This award honours an outstanding person in a leadership position within the electronics industry who excels in creating and nurturing an exceptional workplace environment. The winner will be recognised for their ability to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being while maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity. They will demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) and actively work to create a supportive and inclusive workplace. Their leadership serves as an inspiration for future leaders in the electronics industry.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programme of the Year
Open to teams, electronics businesses, and institutions operating within the electronics sector in any capacity. This award aims to recognise an exemplary DE&I programme in its entirety. Judges will assess the programme's planning, implementation, and overall success, with a focus on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. It could be a specific programme or campaign that targets age and life stage, disability and/or neurodiversity, faith, gender, LGBTQ+, race and social mobility.
Lifetime Achievement Award
Recognising exceptional women in the electronics industry who show a long-standing legacy of accomplishments, leadership, and contributions to the industry throughout their career.
